Melissa Blaeser, Life and Leadership Coach
As a life and leadership coach, Melissa Blaeser was looking for branding reflective of her own personality, as well as the concept of wellness without being cliché. The logo design takes inspiration from the concept of Blaeser’s mission statement, “Balance your life and rise.” The circular outlines are symmetrical, creating balance, while the text lifts upward. The movement of the lines from the “m” in Melissa to the “r” at the end could be symbolic of the client’s journey, as they move upward. The circular shape here is also representative of the 360º approach to Blaeser’s coaching—helping individuals improve their lives from all angles.
Blaeser’s complete website design can be viewed here, while additional branding samples created—including a basic brand guide, business cards, and the book cover for Blaeser’s self-published memoir—can be seen below.
Do or Dye Color & Beauty Bar
As a hair salon where the stylists specialize in vivid color and edgier cuts, the owners of Do or Dye wanted a tattoo-art inspired logo. However, as a new business in a small and conservative town in Florida, it was important to balance that edge with a more widely-appealing logo for potential customers looking for a more classic look for their hair.
Below are some initial sketches and logo concepts, as well as additional promotional and brand materials.
